EMF Sensitive Checklist

Mike Wong July 25, 2023 2 min read

If you’re EMF sensitive — or just want to be EMF conscious — here’s a checklist to help minimize your exposure to common sources, including wireless radiation. The most important space is your bedroom, where you rest, recover and recharge. Your quality of sleep is one of the best indicators: if you’re not waking up rested and refreshed, there’s a good chance something in your bedroom is worth checking.

I update this list from time to time as I learn more.

  • Turn off your Wi-Fi at night, at least an hour before bed, so your bedroom is Wi-Fi free. Hard-wiring your computers with Ethernet is even better.
  • Put your phone in airplane mode — or simply turn it off — while you sleep.
  • Keep wires, cords and plugs away from your bedside.
  • Consider replacing metal bed frames and coil-spring mattresses; metal can conduct and attract EMF.
  • Spend time outdoors — in the mountains, among the trees, near rivers and on the trails — to rest and reset.
  • Get an EMF assessment so you know for sure, and have peace of mind.
